This group is a free, six month long, fortnightly support group for people who are living with grief following the death of a family member due to incurable disease.
Living with a grief is an experience unique to you. Many people living with grief find it helpful to connect with others and build support with others going through similar experiences.
Whether you want to explore the impact of grief on the body, coping with difficult emotions, supporting children with grief or simply better understanding and making sense of grief and bereavement, this group will provide helpful insights.
How does the support group work?
This group will meet at Dove House (207a Riddell Road, Glendowie). The group will meet 9 times, fortnightly, on Thursday mornings (10.30am – 12pm), over a period of six months. We will not meet on public holidays or during the school holidays. Please contact Dove Hospice for starting dates.
Each time we meet we will be joined by a guest speaker to explore a different topic of interest to the group. We will also have time for morning tea and connecting with each other.
