NB: My practice is currently full, so unfortunately I cannot take on new clients at this time.
I provide therapy to individuals who may grapple with feelings of disconnect, overwhelm, and feeling stuck in areas of their life. Such experiences may hinder one’s ability to live life more fully, to their full potential, and more authentically. Areas which I mostly work with are around (but not limited to) early trauma or trauma experienced in later life, relationship issues, stress, low self-esteem, career difficulties, individuals affected by institutions, alienation and loneliness, grief and loss, immigration and cultural issues, racial identity, intergenerational trauma, and spirituality.
Client Types : Adults.
Issues Covered : Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, Emotional Instability, Grief & Loss, Identity, Panic Attacks, Personal Development, PTSD & Trauma, Relationship Issues, Religious Issues, Self-Esteem, Sexual Abuse, Social Anxiety, Stress, Toxic Shame, Transitions & Change, Workplace Issues.
Approach : My training is in psychodynamic psychotherapy and I assist individuals with building greater awareness of underlying causes leading to mental strain, relationship problems, and behavioural issues. I provide a safe and supportive environment where the individual feels listened to. I believe that through greater awareness and ongoing support in a safe environment, individuals are likely to make better life decisions and move forward, enhance relational and emotional well-being, live more authentically, and achieve a more meaningful life.
I work with people who have experienced trauma and the aftereffects of the experience on mind, body, and spirit. Through talk therapy, I support individuals with emotional and relational healing, and towards a greater sense of belonging and community.
I have previously worked in institutional settings and provided support with the complexities and impacts of such environments. I also have experience working with people who are impacted by immigration, cultural dislocation, intergenerational trauma, and identity issues surrounding culture.
