NB : I’m currently fully booked and unable to take new clients.
As we learn to deeply understand and accept ourselves we can find strength, relief and long-term wellbeing.
Experience and specialisms : I see a broad range of people with a wide array of concerns and experiences, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, chronic grief, complex trauma, identity challenges and relationship difficulties.
I also see people whose daily stress and emotional pain are perhaps being expressed physically; I take a MindBody, whole person approach with clients suffering from headache, body pain, stomach upset, skin conditions, insomnia and fatigue.
Approach : Together we will seek to improve your relationship with yourself, others and the world around you. We will seek to reduce your symptoms and help you find a way to live a fulfilling life.
My approach is person-centred, which means you, your experiences and your unique human story come first. I provide an accepting, authentic and caring space.
I also work psychodynamically, which means we gently explore your present life and how it might have been influenced by your past experiences. We discuss your interpersonal relationships and your recurring patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Client groups : I warmly welcome adults of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, sexualities and gender identifications. I am available for short or long-term weekly therapy depending on your specific needs.
Professional memberships : I am a Registered Psychotherapist (PBANZ) and a member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists (NZAP).
Fee : My standard fee is $140 for a 50-minute session.
