I have 18 years of experience, firstly as an art therapist, and in recent years as a psychotherapist. I offer verbal dialogue combined with symbolic language, to help my clients gain awareness, make positive changes in their lives, and move forward.

Client Types : Adults (18+)

Psychotherapy Services : I welcome clients from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds.

I am passionate about working together with people, connecting with their inner wisdom and genuine experience, to find the best way to gain more clarity and resolve current difficulties.

I provide a safe, trusting, confidential and welcoming environment. Here you can share and explore challenges, difficulties, or whatever comes to mind. This will help you gain a greater awareness about yourself and about your relationships with others, find easier and healthier ways of being and relating. This leads to a sense of growth, fulfilment, and wholeness in your life.

In our first meeting, we will discuss what has brought you to see me. We will talk about your background and history, so I have a deeper understanding of who you are and your needs. Together we will set goals for our work.

I believe that a good match between client and therapist is a key factor to get the most from your therapy. Therefore, the first meeting is also a good opportunity to mutually explore what it might look like to work together.

I can help with:

  • Coping with depression
  • Anxiety, stress, and panic attacks
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Grief, loss, and separation
  • Trauma
  • Sexual abuse
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Anger
  • Dealing with life transitions and change
  • A feeling of being stuck in life
  • Dealing with illness, health issues

Therapy Approach : I have an interest in combining the two therapeutic approaches of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Art Therapy. This results in the use of all our capacities to find a successful resolution to our difficulties.

Through Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, we safely explore together past significant relationships, experiences and events, and their possible influence on your current experiences and difficulties.

Using Art Therapy, we can access the place where words have ended, the world of non-verbal content. The creative process of art-making, within a professional relationship, supports changes in the person’s inner world and helps develop more self-awareness and acceptance. There is an emphasis on the creative process rather than on the technique, skill, or end-product. Therefore, no art skills are needed.

Through mutual interest and curiosity about your experiences, feelings, patterns of thought, decision-making behaviour, and relationships, we will gain an understanding of what you want for your life and your relationships. We will identify what may be interfering, and what might enable these impediments to shift.
