Areas of special interest: Grief, depression, trauma, anxiety, confidence, self-esteem and identity, relationships, life direction, anger and shame.

Counselling / therapy services: I provide professional, supportive and practical psychotherapy and counselling. I am committed to providing an environment that allows each client to identify what life changes are sought, and how these may be realised. I offer short-term and long-term therapy.

Counselling / therapy approach: My training includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, which explores the significance and influence of past events on current life experiences. I also utilise cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution-focussed therapy and mindfulness in order to develop tools and skills to manage life stressors. The guiding principle of my therapeutic approach is to best support the attainment of each client’s specific personal goals, be they related to the creation of a positive sense of self, the forming and maintenance of satisfying relationships, or a greater sense of life-fulfillment.

Background and Experience: Professional history includes: Mental Health professional role with Richmond (NZ), Mental Health professional role with Buchanan Centre, Therapist at SAFE – Youth and Early Intervention Services, & Private Practice.

Registrations and Professional Memberships: PBANZ Registered Psychotherapist.

Fees: The standard rate for a 55-minute appointment is $160 for individual and $180 for couples appointments.
