I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever may be happening in your life. Starting therapy can sometimes feel daunting, and I aim to create an environment where you feel safe, listened to and understood. Alongside my psychotherapy work, I have spent over 14 years working in allied health as a music therapist with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical and community settings.

Approach : My approach is primarily psychodynamic. Together we may explore thoughts, feelings and patterns that may sit outside of immediate awareness and consider how earlier life experiences can shape the way we experience ourselves, others and the world today. Developing this understanding can open the possibility for change, helping to reduce stress, strengthen coping, improve relationships and support a greater sense of wellbeing.

My work is also informed by person-centred principles, trauma-informed psychotherapy, transpersonal and Jungian theory. When it feels helpful, and if you are open to it, music can also be incorporated into therapy as another way of exploring and expressing experiences that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.

Professional Memberships : I am a registered psychotherapist with the Psychotherapy Board of Aotearoa New Zealand (PBANZ) and a Full Member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists (APANZ). I am also a registered Music Therapist and full member of Music Therapy New Zealand.

Fees : $170 including GST per session (55mins). I offer in-person and online sessions. I offer the first session free of charge (30mins), online or by phone.
