Client Types : Adults.
About Me : I work with adults 18 years and older, I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds and my practice is T/LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergence friendly. I support people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, difficult life changes, navigating complex family dynamics, chronic illness, exploring gender and/or sexuality, and clients who want to unpack and process long term issues that may be affecting everyday life and relationships or how they see or experience themselves. I also have an interest in spiritual or religious trauma, immigrant experiences in Aotearoa New Zealand, and neurodiversity.
Approach : We may work together to understand and untangle some of the things in your life that feel painful, or that leave you feeling stuck, distressed, or confused. I concentrate on creating a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space for exploration and growth. I centre my clients’ experiences and expertise in their own lives, seeing therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to grow a deeper understanding of your self, your lived experiences, relational patterns and inner world. Though therapy can be challenging and can take courage, the process can help with self-acceptance, understanding and connection, self-worth, growth, inner warmth and healing.
I practice a type of therapy called integrative relational psychotherapy; I draw from relational, humanistic & psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, trauma theory, and parts work. Psychotherapy is sometimes referred to as depth psychology; it is usually a medium to long term form of therapy.
