About Me : I work with children and adolescents (ages 5–18) experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, and difficulties with self-esteem, identity, or relationships. I support young people to better understand their emotions and develop healthier ways of coping at home and school, often working alongside parents and whānau. I bring a background in education, which informs my work with school-related challenges and learning environments.
Approach : My approach is grounded in respect, curiosity, and warmth. I take a neurodiversity-affirming stance, recognising that children experience the world in different ways and that these differences deserve understanding rather than correction.
My practice is trauma-informed and guided by the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Families can expect a safe, collaborative environment in which children and adolescents can make sense of their experiences and develop skills for navigating life’s challenges.
Where possible, I work collaboratively with parents and whānau to better understand their child’s experiences and relationships, and to support positive change across home and school environments. Sessions are tailored to the young person and may involve play therapy, conversation, creative activities, or other age-appropriate approaches.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and can be arranged weekly, either in person or online.
I have experience working with children and adolescents in community, educational, and clinical settings.
